Dear journalists and tv talking heads. No-one cares if you “don’t like” Julian Assange. No one cares if he’s not your ‘cup of tea’.

Julian didn’t consider whether he ‘liked’ the 150 innocent people who were held at Guantánamo Bay for years without charge, or those being tortured, including teenagers - he cared about justice.

Julian didn’t consider whether he ‘liked’ the 12 unarmed civilians including two journalists who were killed when an Apache helicopter rained bullets down onto them, saying ‘light ‘em all up’ and laughing like they were playing a computer game. He cared about revealing war crimes that would otherwise not have been reported.

Julian didn’t consider whether he ‘liked’ the 66,000 innocent civilians who were killed in the Iraq War when he put his own life in danger to release the Iraq War Documents. He cared about human rights.

When you are blinded by petty preferences and personality differences, you are playing into the hands of the hegemonic hyper-power conglomerate, the the dis-information cartel and the the iron-bound security state in Washington DC.

These goons have used your pettiness and lack of an ability to discern against you - to suppress and persecute an innocent man who was working towards a more peaceful world.

They’ve lied and you’ve eaten up the lies. They’ve used your weakness to sway public opinion to counter a publishing organisation that threatened their total power and control, their nefarious arms dealing and money laundering activities.

Grow up.

Put your pettiness aside.

Stop licking boots and pandering to oligarchs with selfish agendas.

The future of a man, a journalist, a truth-teller, a father, brother a husband, and free speech and freedom of information - is at stake!

Julian saw through the lies and the illusions.
